Youngsters in this age bracket start focusing on mastering some of the basics of the sport. They crave feedback from coaches and parents on how they’re performing certain skills and how they’re progressing with new ones. The desire to compete carries much more prominence for some youngsters in this age range than others.
Children in U-8 are under 8, (they are 6 & 7 years old by Dec 31), generally first and second graders, but not necessarily.
2022 Season
Birth Year 2015 & 2016
Our season will begin the week of August 25. The group will be divided into set teams and will need to stay with their cohort for each practice.
- Practices for all the children in this age group are once a week, Thursdays, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, at the town fields, near the school. We will begin the week of Aug 25 and run through October 29, weather permitting.
- Games will be on Saturday mornings, August 27- Oct 29 (except Labor Day and the Chester Tricentennial Weekend) at Wason Pond Recreation field on Route 102.

Children should be equipped to every practice and game with shin guards, socks that cover the guard, sneakers or cleats, a size 4 soccer ball and a water bottle.
