Coaches say that U12 is where players “turn the corner” and are looking like real soccer players. However, games are still frantically paced and a bit unpredictable for the most part. These players know how much fun it is to play the game skillfully. Children may become more competitive, as winning and losing takes on more importance in their lives. Many will begin embracing the challenge of putting their skills to the test. Emphasizing teamwork and full participation is extraordinarily important .
Birth years 2009 & 2010
Our season will begin the week of Sept 13, 2020. There are generally two practices a week, and one game each weekend. Our first few sessions will be dedicated to evaluating players and developing teams.
- Practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:45 pm at the town’s upper field. In accordance with our COVID-19 Guidelines, this age group will not be participating in inter town league games. Instead they will play games against other the Chester team(s). These games will be at the town field on Saturday afternoons.
If the environment allows we may be able to add league games in October.
Children should be equipped with shin guards, socks that cover the guard, cleats, a size 4 soccer ball (with your name on it) and a water bottle.
