Coaches say that U12 is where players “turn the corner” and are looking like real soccer players. However, games are still frantically paced and a bit unpredictable for the most part. These players know how much fun it is to play the game skillfully. Children may become more competitive, as winning and losing take on more importance in their lives. Many will begin embracing the challenge of putting their skills to the test. Emphasizing teamwork and full participation is extraordinarily important.
2022 Season
Birth years 2011 & 2012
Our season will begin the week of August 30, 2022. There are generally two practices a week, and one game each weekend. Our first few sessions will be dedicated to evaluating players and developing teams.
- Practices will be Tuesdays and Fridays from 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm at the town’s upper field, near the school.
- Teams at this age level will play against other towns, including Derry, Londonderry, and Hampstead. Home games will be at the town field on Saturdays.

- Games are played in two 30-minute halves.
- The format is 9v9 (may play 7v7) with goalies.
- Offsides will be called and all other rules apply. Scores are reported by coaches.
- Referees are responsible for reporting any send-offs (red cards).
Children should be equipped with shin guards, socks that cover the guard, cleats, a size 4 soccer ball (with your name on it), and a water bottle.
