About Chester Soccer

Mission Statement

Chester Soccer Club exists for the benefit of all children. Through the sport, we strive to develop self-confidence, individual responsibility, fair play and teamwork.

Emphasize: teamwork, respect and fair play

Focus should be on long-term player development, not winning games

Chester’s Recreation’s Soccer Club is singularly focused on long-term player and child development (as a person first) and not short-term or even athletic goals. Coaches use age appropriate games and activities during practices- and are ALWAYS working on team building. Ideally, all players should play for equal duration during games.

In addition to achieving a sense of accomplishment through mastery of skills, soccer is a great way for young players to learn good values that they can carry in other aspects of their lives:

  • Friendship and the value of being part of a team.
  • Respecting coaches, teammates, opponents, and the referee.
  • Sportsmanship and fair play.

Overview

The Chester Soccer Club (CSC) was established in 2003 to promote, educate and advance the game of soccer for children in the town of Chester and surrounding towns.

Currently Chester Soccer Club offers 6 recreational divisions (U6, U8, U10, U12, U15, U18).  Our club travels to neighboring towns for U10 through U18 competition, as participation permits.

The Chester Soccer Club has it’s own board, made up of volunteer coordinators and coaches. The club is affiliated with the Chester Town Recreation Department. The town’s department provides registration, insurance and oversight. Derry Soccer Club has taken on the responsibility of scheduling and referee assignments for U8 and up.

We offer a community based athletic opportunity, run entirely by volunteers, to all of the children of Chester, regardless of skill or ability to pay. If you are looking for more soccer, there are a number of amazing select, élite and travel clubs in the area. Let us know, we can connect you to the program that fits your kids’ needs and interest.
